Promotion Criteria

Recruit
- Volunteer for service in the 2nd Massachusetts
- No dishonorable discharges (for cause) from other companies

Private
- No Article of War Violations for at least 4 weeks
- Regular Attendance at Weekly Drill
- Ability to efficiently perform rifle manual and marching
- 4 weeks time in grade

Two routes
Veteran Private or  Corporal (limited positions)
- No Article of War violations for at least 4 weeks
- Regular Attendance at Weekly Drill
- Reliable and knowledgeable of the Hardee's 1862 (Corporal Only)
- Ability to efficiently perform rifle manual and marching
- Ability to efficiently lead rifle manual and marching with minimal mistakes (Corporal Only)
- Ability to responsibly lead a squad of soldiers (Corporal Only)
- Ability to conduct yourself in a respectful manner in server as well as on TeamSpeak
- Ability to report accountability to senior sergeant during platoon report

Sergeant
- No Article of War violations for at least 8 weeks
- Regular Attendance at Weekly Drill
- Reliable and knowledgeable of the Hardee's 1862
- Familiar with Articles of War of 1802
- Ability to take corrective (responsible and respectable) action on subordinates when necessary
- Ability to form the platoon and give accountability report to platoon commander

~1st Sergeant and above are appointed by the Company Commander 
(limited positions)
- No Article of War violations EVER
- Regular Attendance at Weekly Drill
- Reliable and knowledgeable of the Hardee's 1862
- Familiar with Articles of War of 1802
- Ability to take corrective (responsible and respectable) action on subordinates when necessary
- Ability to effectively move the Company in battle
- Ability to be diplomatic with other companies without compromising our core standards
